A band is a residual adjustment, not a fee: a car handed back with fewer miles is worth more, so the depreciation line falls. Put your real annual mileage in and the comparator prices the band premium against the $0.25 per mile you would pay at the end.
Check last year's odometer readings rather than estimating. Most people are out by 2,000 to 3,000 miles.

Cap cost minus residual value, divided by the months. A car with a stronger residual costs less each month even when its sticker is higher, which is why the RAV4 undercuts cars that list for less.
Every car lists a money factor. Multiply it by 2400 for the equivalent APR. Across this fleet that runs from 3.96% to 5.76% as a sample, and it is printed on every car page.
Dropping from 10,000 to 7,500 miles raises the residual by a point of MSRP and takes money off the payment. Going to 15,000 costs two points. Nothing is charged mid-term.
